One very lucky couple are celebrating thanks to Bloomfield House Hotel’s Free Wedding Giveaway, which took place on the 22nd February. The Hotel teamed up with the Midland’s leading wedding suppliers with more great prizes and more chances to walk away a winner at their annual Wedding Giveaway.
Hopeful couples competed through Red or Black themed games in the hope of winning Bloomfield’s Supreme Wedding Package for 100 people or one of 13 fantastic runner up prizes including the Wedding Band, Photographer, Videographer, Wedding Cake, and much more. Games included Oysters at Dawn, Burpee Brides, Pop the Question, Sweet Memories and spin the Red or Black Wedding Wheel. Bloomfield chef’s Andrew and Roger competed to open as many oysters as they could in 60 seconds while Bloomfield Leisure Club staff competed in a burpee and bike relay race. Bloomfield pastry chefs created stunning red and black desserts; each dessert was uncovered to reveal who was through to spin the Red or Black Wedding Wheel. There was a high level of tension and excitement as the wheel spun and finally stopped on black, the lucky colour for Shirley Gorman and Frank Kenny. After going out for 2 years, Shirley from Castlepollard recently said yes to Frank, who hails from Rochfortbridge. “I am totally speechless and was not expecting to win” exclaimed Frank “I got knocked out earlier in the game but was very lucky to get a Wildcard and go on to win”. We can’t process that we have won. We are flabbergasted but ecstatic at winning” added Shirley.

The runner up prizes included a beautiful floral package from Sheefin Flowers which was won by Catherine McGregor and Darren Figgis, a Beaufort Wedding Car by So Fresh Weddings went to Lisa Murphy and William Farrelly, the Photobooth from Paddy’s Photobooths was claimed by Toni Fitzsimons and Gavin Larkin and the bridal hair package from Indulgence went to Lorraine Slevin and Brendan Daly. The Flynn Photo Services package was scooped by Denise Scally and Steven Kelly while Olly Gallagher Videographer’s prize went to Alice Sousa and David Quinn who will have all their precious moments on their big day lovingly captured. There was a handmade wedding stationery package by Jimples.com that went to Eileen O’Connor and Lonan Fenlon while the treats package from McGrath’s Sweet Shop was won by Veronica Tracey and Ian Murphy. There were excellent evening entertainment prizes on offer including the band VisionX which was won by Lisa Kearney and Eddie Donlon, DJ Sarge’s Prize was scooped by Kylie Fay and Cathal Dempsey while the Celtic Dance Fusion prize went to Eimear Lyons and Denis Connolly. There were other fantastic prizes including a wedding cake from Cakes by Una which went to Tracey Boyne and Kenneth Dunne while the Bridal Make Up from Bloomfield Spa which was won by Emily Beglan and Shane Bannon.
The Supreme Wedding Package Prize is for 100 persons at the very romantic, lakeside setting of Bloomfield House Hotel. The Hotel enjoys an idyllic setting on the shores of Lough Ennell and is surrounded by magnificent parkland – ideal for wedding photos. Shirley, Frank and their guests will enjoy a Red Carpet arrival, a Five Course Meal, a Half Bottle of Wine per guest, Evening Buffet and Bridal Suite.
