Bridal Wedding Day Preparation Tips and ideas

Your big day is finally here, the excitement can be felt throughout your venue. As the flowers begin to arrive and the rooms fill with family and friends, it is easy to forget the final items that need to be completed before you say your ‘I do’s’. Here is your handy guide to ticking off all the small boxes on the morning of your wedding.

Keep your make up true to you

Many brides want to try out a new look for their big day, and yes you want to stand out in the pictures. However trying a bold new look can give you the opposite of what you are trying to go for; you can end up straying too far from the real you making your photos less meaningful than they should be.
If you want to try something different, then the first point to consider is how to reflect the real you through your makeup. If you are bubbly, then opting for pinks and purples will add to your girlie nature. On the flip side, if you are calm and collected then natural tones will bring highlight this. Do some research into your makeup, sites such as activeskin are great for gaining some inspiration.

Make sure you have an emergency wedding kit

This may sound like a strange item to be keeping close to you throughout the day, but it is very important. Your emergency kit needs to cover a range of eventualities, from blisters caused by your beautiful shoes all the way through to some cash in case of any payments that need to be completed. Many brides also add in bobby pins, hairspray, lipstick and small perfumes, just to maintain the look throughout the day.
On top of these items, it is also worth carrying the telephone numbers of your vendors with you in case of any issues that may arise.

Everything you prepare in the morning, make sure you are prepared for the worse

I know that you don’t want to be thinking about rain on your big day or the flowers arriving late, but it does happen and the best way to deal with this is through preparing for it. You have spent all these months planning for your big day, that it would be a shame not to have considered what you would do if it began raining before you were due to have the photographs taken.
When you are ready in the morning, go through any eventualities that may arise. Look at alternative indoor locations for photographs, consider what you would do if the DJ was late to the reception and make sure that all the vendors know what time the day ends. Once you have plans in place, make sure you share them with a member of the wedding party and give that person the responsibility of looking after anything that needs sorting. This way you can concentrate on the love, romance and your new husband, without the worry.
