On Sunday 16th September Carlingford is hosting
Ireland’s first ever “Destination Wedding Fair”.
At Ghan House they will be setting up the house as for a wedding so come along and join the party! You will be able to see:
- the civil ceremony room
- a live band in the Ballroom
- a dinner in the magnificent Drawing Room
Their wedding co-ordinators along with selected exhibitors will be available on the day to answer your questions from 12 noon – 6pm.
In the lead up to the Wedding Fair from the 8th to the 16th of September the Carlingford Heritage Centre will host an exhibition of old Wedding Day photographs from the 1950’s and earlier of weddings on the Cooley Peninsula, a nostalgic retrospective which will appeal to all visitors.
The exhibited photos will, with the permission of the owners be added to an already existing archive of photographs on the Peninsula, the website: Carlingford People. So, if your family hails from the Cooley Peninsula and you have an old wedding photo from the 50’s or earlier why not contribute to the exhibit? All photos will be copied and returned.
