We are delighted to have a stunning styled shoot on our blog this week! Danielle Lorenzi of Sweet Memories Photography shared this gorgeous ‘Golden Elegance’ shoot with WeddingDates. The shoot took place in the amazing Ardilaun House Hotel, Co. Galway wedding venue.
Danielle Lorenzi, Photographer: “Autumn is such a lovely season! Nature turns into beautiful shades of red and gold and although the temperatures start to cool down, they remain mild, so organising an autumnal bridal shoot was something I really wanted to do. Unfortunately, the weather was very wet on the day of the shoot so we couldn’t venture into the lovely gardens of the Ardilaun Hotel which is a beautiful 4 star traditional Irish hotel in Galway city. We used many of their beautiful rooms and I hope the images speak for themselves. A big thank you to the very friendly and accommodating staff and of course to each member of the photo shoot team. They all worked really hard to give future brides some inspiration for their wedding.”

“The inspiration for this photo-shoot was the Golden Glamour era in Hollywood. The embroidered lace fit and flare dress complemented by a Sabrina neckline from Wedding World in Galway is a perfect choice for any bride who likes a classy and elegant look. My favourite colour is ivory for A/W season with a touch of gold or beige tones as this compliments any skin tones and a complete seasonal feeling. I have finished the whole look with a couple of pieces from Loretta A/W collection from Olina Bridal. Olina Bridal accessories are handmade and one of a kind. I think every bride deserves something special and unique for her big day and I also want to make sure that she can wear her unique pieces for any special occasion after. I use high quality bohemian crystals and pearls in Topaz, Black diamond and Jonquil colour in a golden plated setting. I simply love those warm colours as they compliment the beautiful and soft Irish skin tones.”
“The Loretta collection is very special to me as I had the pleasure to work with a beautiful bride who became my inspiration. Any time we met and worked together on her pieces I felt like the room was shining. Loretta loves fashion and design, she is happy and a successful woman who knows what she wants. I loved the whole process and I have decided to create this collection and share this warm golden touch with you.”
Joanne, Make-up Artist: “I had the pleasure of being the make up artist for this photo shoot in the Ardilaun Hotel. To create the desired look, I used my favourite airbrush system to apply the foundation, to ensure a flawless finish. It photographs beautifully, making it an extremely popular choice for brides. Our Model Teresa boasts a real Irish look, and with her beautiful pale skin tone and hair colouring, I immediately knew the look I would go for. To complement her hair colouring, along with her accessories, I opted for neutral browns and bronze tones for her eyes. I used some subtle contour and highlight. This is very important for bridal photos.”
“I completed the look with peach toned blush and a nude lipstick, with some subtle hints of peach and brown. For a bride, it is very important that her make up compliments and fits in with her overall look. So keeping this in mind, I made sure that her make up completed her look and came together beautifully with Olina’s accessories and the lace dress. The Ardilaun hotel was the perfect choice for this shoot. It has such a beautiful interior and Irish country house feel. It was a pleasure as always, to work with such a great team on this shoot.”
