Your Wedding - A Home Away From Home

We had the pleasure of speaking to Michelle Ryan of Hotel Ballina, Co. Mayo wedding venue. Michelle told us her favourite wedding trends and what the biggest concerns are on the big day.

Hotel Ballina

“If I had to give some words of advice for newly engaged couples starting out on their planning it would be know your budget and stick to it. Other people’s opinions are great but truly it’s your day and ultimately you should decide what you want for your wedding. Your wedding venue and suppliers are there to help you, so don’t be afraid to ask their professional advice if you have any questions.”

“Couples seem to worry a lot about when to send the invites out – now many brides and grooms are travelling from abroad and coming home to get married. They may also have guests travelling from afar. Couples seem to worry more about their guests, have they booked their rooms, food choices, – in any well-established hotel they can look after all your guests concerns.”

“I have seen a lot of nervous brides and grooms on their wedding day, but we can give you every reassurance as we have taken care of everything for you. Everything is organised and now you can relax and have confidence in Hotel Ballina for your special day!”

“One of my favourite wedding trends of this year has to be simplistic and Vintage / Rustic themes – a lot of Brides and Grooms are being very creative and adding loads of beautiful personal touches.”

“Looking at 2015 trends, I think I personally like when brides and grooms are true to themselves and not swayed by specific trends – go with your own personal tastes, but a favourite of mine is old school glamour.”

“On a typical wedding day my role is to look after the Bride and Groom from the moment they arrive with us until they go to bed, ensuring everything that we have promised is fulfilled. like everything, there challenges may arise (small as they may be), but we work together as a team to ensure that the whole day goes off without a hitch.”

Hotel Ballina

“Hotel Ballina is classic – comfortable and all their guests feel welcome and very much at home. The transformation of the venue when all the couples personal touches are added gives the WOW factor. We really pride ourselves in attention to detail and high standards of customer service.”

“If I had to describe Hotel Ballina in three words they would be. . . Home away from Home – well four words!!!”

Thanks Michelle for taking the time to talk to us and putting some couples minds at ease. Check out Hotel Ballina, Co. Mayo wedding venue for more information.
