The dress is sorted!
After a few weeks of what I can only describe as torture, I have finally managed to get back to the blog!
In May I got Pleurisy – I thought only old people got it – turns out its very common! I managed to get over that in enough time to get myself on a flight to Vegas with 13 pals where we celebrated our 30th birthdays.
A few weeks before heading to Vegas I was having a look at wedding dresses on Pinterest and low and behold I found a wedding dress that was just for me. (You’ll have to wait until after the big day to see it!) It was a Vera Wang number and straight away I was deflated as we all know how much Vera charges!
When I did more research I found out that the dress could not be bought in Europe and did not ship to Europe either. I continued my search and found a stockist in Vegas!!!! Whoop Whoop! I got in touch asked them to hold it and thought that’s me sorted. No… they only had one left and if I wanted it I had to buy it straight away, they couldn’t hold it for me. So after hour long conversations with the mother, the hubby to be, the bridesmaids etc I decided to go for it and buy it and wait and see what happens. So I parted with the money and arranged that the dress would get to my hotel when I arrived in Vegas. We were staying in New York New York and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They stored the dress for me and when I arrived handed it over with a loving smile!
I ran straight to the room, got my mam on Skype, assembled the bridal party and put it on……
It was perfect! I just need to get it taken in and I’m sorted! There is a couple of little tweaks that I would like to make but other than that I’m all set!
I’ll ba back very soon to tell you about the next steps!
