September Wedding Flower Trends

September Wedding Flower Trends

So we are officially waving goodbye to summer and saying hello to the crisp leaves and air of autumn. After the brightness of summer we are looking at some beautiful and warm autumn shades.

As autumn approaches, warmer seasonal colours are perfect for themes and wedding flower trends. Autumn doesn’t have to be about oranges and browns either. From soft and misty apricot, peach, cream, bronze and lilac to bright shades of aubergine and red; autumn colours can be as rich or as whimsical as you decide.

Gerbera, roses and calla lilies are fantastic choices for this time of year and for a little texture, foliage is perfect to bulk up bouquets. Twigs, blackberries, ivy and croton leaves provide some well needed rustic texture.

Consider doubling your flowers as wedding favours for your bridal party after the ceremony, your party will be delighted and your flowers won’t have to go to waste while you’re on your honeymoon.

Be sure to buy your flowers in season, your bouquet will look amazingly fresh and it’s always more cost effective to buy in season. Ask for as many home grown flowers as possible.

Another cost effective option is to go big with your flowers. A quick and easy way to create a visual effect of more, add texture and fruit to bulk up your décor.
