Tips for Children at Weddings

Tips for Children at Weddings

When it comes to children at weddings, a lot of couples can have mixed feelings. While some love the idea of their adorable nieces and nephews being a part of their special day, others may cringe at the idea of trying to fit in those little tikes into the day and dealing with tantrums.

Well, the truth is that kids don’t have to be difficult. Kids at weddings can be adorable… as long as you give them plenty of jobs! Most children are delighted to be given a little responsibility on the big day and even thrive under the idea of having a job!

Some jobs for kids could include carrying signs ‘here comes the bride’ and of course flower girls and ring bearers! Sign carrying can be a task that nearly any child can take on easily. As well as this, you can just as easily repeat the idea when you make your first entrance as a married couple.

Another way to keep your little ones excited on your big day as well as entertained is fun favour ideas. Little car toys and DIY printable princess crowns can be an ideal treat. As well as this sweets can be a good leveler… nearly all kids enjoy them!

If you want to keep you kids occupied and quiet, give them something to challenge them or get their creative juices flowing with crayons and activity books.

And many venues and hotels have on hand sitters to take care of children when it gets to later on in the evening.
