One of our favourite wedding venues in Cork, the Fota Island Resort is throwing open their doors for their biannual Wedding Showcase next Sunday (26th September 2010) from 11am – 7pm.
An invaluable resource for those tying the knot, this year’s showcase takes place on the 26th September and will present every possible service and suggestion for your big day. The finest photographers, stationers, wedding planners, make-up artists, bakers, jewellers, department stores, travel agents and musicians will gather together and showcase their top services designed to create the perfect wedding day.
All of this will take place in the stunning surroundings of Fota Island Hotel which will be dressed for a glamorous and stylish wedding – the stuff of every bride’s fantasy. The Smith Barry Suite, luxurious bedrooms, deluxe suites and lodges will all be available to view, allowing you to picture every aspect of your wedding day. The Resort’s friendly team will also be on hand to give you the full tour and answer any questions you may have.
Fota Island is known for its top quality food and take it from someone who has indulged in quite a few canapés while at another event there….it’s worth taking the trip down for the food alone!! They will have a selection of delicious canapés, starters, main courses and desserts for you to sample…yum!
For those couples who are into golfing persuits, you can also get married in the Golf Clubhouse in Fota. If you are interested in checking that out for your big day, a luxury limo or vintage car will bring you down to view the old stone farm buildings that provides an intimate alternative setting for a wedding reception.
Girls – going to the Cork Mini Marathon on the same day?! Then don’t despair you won’t be missing out!! For those interested in attending both events, Fota Island Resort has not only extended the Wedding Showcase’s hours until 7pm but it will also be hosting a special warm-up session with parking at the resort and coach transfers in and out of the mini marathon.
