Wedding Planning: What to Expect

Wedding Planning: What to Expect

When you first get engaged, it feels like EVERYONE is telling you that this the most exciting day of your life and that planning a wedding is a lot of fun. While all of this is true, there are times when you won’t feel so lucky! While we don’t want to scare the be-jesus outta you, wedding planning can get a little hectic. Here are some wedding planning situations not to get blindsided by…

Grouchy Groom

While most guys are willing to do things 50/50 nowadays, don’t be surprised if your groom is a total grouch. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you but he may not love the idea of picking out décor that matches your floral arrangements.

Everyone Has an Opinion on Wedding Planning

The most non-outspoken and quiet people will come out of the woodwork and tell you their opinion over the most minute details. Well… It’s not their wedding dammit! Try not to say this out loud (as hard as it may be) but instead thank them for their opinion and mention that you will take it into consideration.

Unsupportive Bridal Party Members

While everyone may be happy for the bride and groom, some people just don’t jump to the chance of helping out when it comes to a wedding. Don’t be surprised if one of your bridesmaids doesn’t lift a finger to help out once with the wedding or hen plans. Try not to have huge expectations of friends and family running to your side but instead ask your most trust worthy friends and family to be a part of your plans. As well as this, make your directions simple and clear for anyone who is helping with your plans.
