Thursday is here already, which means one day until the weekend! Is it just me or does Monday only seem like yesterday? Although I’m not going to complain. I am very excited about this weekend as I am going to be attending the Wedding Showcase Weekend at Lisloughrey Lodge in Cong, Mayo!
This weekend, Friday the 9th & Saturday the 10th marks the exquisite weekend for brides and grooms to be. This is not your typical wedding fair, couples will enjoy a romantic weekend away combined with wedding planning all on the grounds on this fabulous country house wedding venue in Mayo.
I will be arriving to the hotel on Friday evening along with the other guests attending and enjoy a relaxing evening overlooking the beautiful setting. On Saturday morning we will awake to an early morning breakfast followed by a boat cruise on Lough Corrib. Imagine the views! In the afternoon there are numerous wedding workshops taking place in the country house such as bridal beauty trends and cake tasting.
Saturday evening brings the highlight of the weekend, the Soiree De Marriage begins at 8pm with 2 fashion shows featuring bridal wear by Kathy de Stafford and Loves Legacy in Leitrim. Brown Thomas will also feature with a collection of guest wear fashion. Guests will enjoy a 5 course tasting dinner showcasing the fabulous food offered at Lisloughrey Lodge. After dinner expert milliner Mark T. Burke will share his hat design show with us, there are sure to be some show stoppers!
