At no point did we feel rushed or that we had missed out on something. The food was divine and the atmosphere exactly as we had hoped.
As with all days I imagine things don't go totally according to plan but you guys kept everything ticking over and just touched base with us. It was fantastic.
The décor was beautiful and the overall vibe from start to finish was just a joy to be a part of.
I loved your suggestion of a few minutes upstairs for canapes just the two of us when we first got back. It was probably my favourite moment of the day. The penthouse and rooms were beautifully presented and we really appreciated the help from the porters throughout our stay. The drinks reception was perfect. Everyone remarked on the fact that they had a number of drinks and got a few bites so all very happy.
The kids room was a roaring success! As a couple who love spending time with family, looking after our smallies was a big thing for us and I have to say the space and the care the kids were given was astounding. They all had a total ball and it meant alot to their parents and us.
The set up for DJ and band was seamless and we loved that tables could stay put so we felt the room worked really well. Finally, the staff. The kindness and efficiency of the staff we dealt with over the few days was astounding. Every single person we dealt with was an utter joy. Nothing was too much to ask and we really felt like we were being looked after- so much so we didn't want to leave! My family are already talking about coming back next Christmas to mark the anniversary.

recommend this, it was amazing value for money, including a beautiful wedding car that brought us from home to church to hotel (our driver Joe was gas, absolutely made the day!). The food was divine, definitely the best wedding food I have ever eaten, and the room was so gorgeous. The Christmas decorations did add a lovely touch, but it is beautiful all year round! Everything went off without a hitch on the day, with Jim and the team running a tight ship! We would like to say a special thanks to Lynda who did such an excellent job organising the whole day. None of our guests have had a bad word to say about the venue, from the reception to the meal to the hotel bedrooms, and it was the perfect size for our wedding of around 140. We had the use of the penthouse for the night, which was gorgeous, and we got some lovely photos from the balcony

On the day of our wedding she definitely didn’t let us down either. The food was excellent, so many of our guests commented on its quality. The venue was perfect with such a lovely flow from the entrance hall, bringing us into Souths Bar before finally sitting for dinner in the ballroom. James and his staff took over then with the same enthusiasm and professionalism we had received from Lynda. He was brilliant too, ensuring everything was so perfect for us. We wouldn’t have changed a thing.
The Imperial Hotel staff were second to none and left no stone unturned. From Christy in the foyer (a total gent) to the ever available concierge (I didn’t get his name), to Lynda, James and their teams we cannot thank you enough. You made our day so special and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Our time in The Imperial was fantastic and it is a place we will only have the fondest of memories of.
We will definitely be back down to visit and would highly recommend it as a wedding venue for anyone who maybe interested. However, only consider it if you’re looking for something that’s going to beyond your expectations. The hotel and staff here don’t seem to settle for anything less.

the Imperial ensured that we got everything we wanted and for excellent value. We were given lots of options for food -even when it came to our more exotic requests - and we were given the opportunity to taste everything in advance. The function room itself was decorated beautifully and all our guests said what a beautiful venue it was and how amazing the food was. We also loved the room we got - the penthouse offered stunning views over the city and with ample space. Overall, we couldn't think of a bad thing to say, everything was exceptional!

compliments from our guests about how welcoming and friendly you all were to them. Thank you all most sincerely.
I'll have to begin with Louise who we were dealing with initially a year and a half ago. Louise was extremely responsive to emails and always had solutions or answers to anything that was needed! Unfortunately Louise went on to pastures new and we were put in the capable hands of Charley Walters. Charley took over and it really was a smooth transition from one to the other! Charley also was a pleasure to deal with and was so helpful and professional.
We were then left in the VERY capable hands of Lynda O' Sullivan for the remaining months in the lead up to the wedding. Lynda was a dream to work with. Every email (and I sent a lot!) was answered quickly and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble and she never made us feel like we were a nuisance (though I bet we were!) Every little detail was discussed via email and every question was dealt with, no matter how small or trivial! To a bride (and groom!), that means an awful lot. It was so lovely meeting Lynda and going through the last few details the month before the wedding. Arriving with a list of 25+ questions didn't put her off! We knew straight away that we were in very good hands and all the finer details would be taken care of! Lynda thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did for us. You really went above and beyond. You are a treasure

In the run up to the wedding everyone at the Imperial was incredibly helpful - Sinead and the reservations team and Christy and the guys on the concierge team were all fab. The day itself went smoothly, everyone commented on how great the food and service was. Jim and his team were incredible, ensuring everything went to plan, especially Hailey who looked after setting up all the decorations. If you are looking for a venue which offers a warm and personal feel with character and feeling of family along with excellent service, you need look no further. We couldn’t have wished for a better day.

amount of effort they put into the decor on the day is truly amazing. Although this all played a part in us deciding to pick this as our wedding venue, the main reason we chose it was because of the staff we meet there. Nothing was a problem for them. No matter what questions we had, they had an answer. Louise, our wedding planner, was just incredible. After meeting her and going through our wedding requests, I never once worried that things would not go according to plan. She was so professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. Jim the events managers was just as amazing. He had a great sense of humour, which worked just perfect with our wedding and our guests. He really got into the spirit of it all and you could tell he just loves his job. Both of these people really and truly helped create the most magical, stress-free wedding day we could have hoped for. Our guests are still contacting us about how great the food was, how the staff were fantastic, and how the wedding itself was one of the best they have been to. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married.

with every twist and turn we were met with nothing but positivity and a can-do attitude. There were regular emails and the odd meeting but nothing overbearing and on the day everything went off as we had planned, in a timely fashion without a hitch and perhaps even better than anticipated.

The hard work and dedication from Jim, Louise and all the bar and floor staff was amazing and really made our greatest day ever. We cannot thank them enough.

If you are planning a wedding or any event here, we can't recommend these guys enough! Well done to all at the Imperial!

was sublime - wedding meal, breakfast, downstairs restaurant, penthouse, other rooms, upstairs & downstairs bars, the spa & best of all, their staff.
The staff there are a true credit to the hotel. They are both shining & leading examples for others in the industry. It starts right from the top down with top class, personalised management from the likes of their Events Manager Jim , then flows down to his next in commands & right throughout the bar, waiting, reception, concierges, & rest of the hotel staff.
We were blown away by the royal treatment provided & how special everyone made us feel for our entire 4 day stay. It didn't just stop with us either, all our wedding guests were given very high levels of service too.
My wife & I were completely spoilt , treated with such respect & sincerity by all of the staff we encountered.
All the staff we had the pleasure of dealing with need to be commended, but, a few in particular even more so though.
Starting with the mighty man Christy down in the foyer , what a gent!.
Louise our Wedding Planner, what a true star she is. A gifted, talented lady that is such a joy to deal with.
She made us feel like we were the only people in the hotel right from our first encounter. She is a dream to deal with.
Mark, who was so professional, approachable, so obliging & just all round helpful, regardless of what our request was.
Then there was the bar staff. All excellent, special mention though to Ailish, Ana & Matty. These 3 are Incredible bar staff who clearly enjoy what they do & are top notch at it. Their customer focus is admirable & should be bottled.
Louise, Mark, Ana & Matty regularly went above & beyond for us and were happy to do so.
We can't recommend the hotel highly enough, so much so, that if we could, we would easily redo the wedding weekend there all over again with them. A Fantastic wedding venue!!!.
Though we can't do the wedding over by the way too, we certainly will be eating & staying there again in the future and would also advise anyone to do the same anytime you are looking for somewhere to eat out in or stay when out & about in Cork City.

just how lovely everyone was. We were keen that our guests would leave with a true understanding of Irish hospitality and we are not disappointed. Some have even spoken of a return visit!
The wedding itself was the best day of our lives and this is truly down to your service and your commitment to making it so. From the accommodation to the reception, there was not one single problem. You really looked after all of our guests and especially noted is the level of service shown to our parents who are particularly grateful.
There are so many different aspects of the wedding we could praise but ones that stand out are the welcome to the hotel, dinner service and cutting the cake. We were delighted that Louise put in so much work beforehand and that Jim executed plans without a hitch.
We hope that your future weddings go as well as ours.
We have already booked to come back at Christmas (not for another wedding unfortunately!).

We had our initial meeting with Trish back in June who took us though all the details of packages available we walked away that day knowing The Imperial was for us.
From there Louise became our wedding coordinator and from the first moment we met, knew we were in safe hands. I cannot praise Louise enough. Not only is she professional, keeping on top of every detail of our ceremony and reception, she is one of the nicest people you could meet and it’s clear that she loves her job and that made a huge difference to our experience.
In the run up to the wedding Louise kept in touch regularly and no requests phased her in the least. We checked into the hotel the day before where, to our surprise and delight, we had been upgraded to the penthouse. It was pre booked for our wedding night as part of the Vintage package.
The day itself went without a hitch thanks to Jim and his team. The rooms for the civil ceremony and reception were beautifully set out, the food and service was outstanding from the drinks reception to the wedding reception and Jim was always nearby making sure that we had everything we needed with a smile and wit that we’ll always remember.
We had nothing but praise and compliments from our guests for the quality of the food and the exceptional service and that was down to Jim and his team.

We would like to thank Louise, Jim and all the staff of the Imperial Hotel for helping to create the perfect setting for us to celebrate the most wonderful day of our lives. We can’t thank and highly recommend you enough.

You will not meet a more friendy, capable or more professional staff any where in our opinion.
